Very good idea and basic mixes for concrete crafts

I received my book and began reading it at once. New to even the idea of mixing cement and working with it, I became comfortable with the thought of doing something in cement and applied the plans to make a tile. A little forethought and planning, well worth doing that, and I have my first tile. Coloring isn't as involved as I first thought of. Here I can say a local mason gave me a tip on how to save on colors... use grout powder! With that I shall continue to make tiles to make a walkway for my garden this summer.
My comfort is increasing with each job. Buy it and enjoy it!

I have started two projects in this book - it's excellent. Very detailed w/out being fussy or confusing. Someone w/no creativity could try these projects and be happy w/results. Now if I can only find room for all my supplies!

These are clearly well thought out questions and thoroughly researched answers that I would strongly recommend to every practitioner of Surgical Critical or Trauma Surgical Care especially those that are preparing for Certification or Recertification examinations.
There are however a few instances in which the justifications put forth for the "correct" answers rely on information not included in the question.
There are also instances in which multiple equivalent answer options are given in the multiple choice format. For example in regard to Chapter 4, Question 17, I contend that options (A) and (B) are equally true and considering the framing of the question (the key word is "early"), one could defend selecting answer A over B.
Just nit picking but otherwise, this is an excellent and helpful teaching booklet.

Good review book in Q/A format for surgical critical care board. The Qs are clinically related and covered extensively. Some answers are not updated, especially in the area of antibiotcs or antifungal treatments.

About the Author

Dr. David Tolin is Director of the Anxiety Disorders Center at the Institute of Living and Adjunct Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine.

Dr. Randy O. Frost is Harold & Elsa Siipola Israel Professor of Psychology at Smith College.

Dr. Gail Steketee is Dean and Professor at Boston University School of Social Work.

Drs. Tolin, Frost, and Steketee are among the world's leading experts in the study and treatment of hoarding disorder. Together, they have held three grants to study hoarding from the National Institute of Mental Health and have led the field in our understanding of why hoarding behavior occurs, how hoarding is reflected in brain activity, and how best to treat people with hoarding. They have developed and tested a treatment for hoarding, currently considered the "gold standard" in the field, which forms the basis of this book.

Excellent but if you have this problem buy the paper version

This book represents state of the art information on how to approach hoarding. It is directed at a self-help audience but can also be used with a support group. I am a psychologist and work with people who have the problem and it was useful to read but the Kindle version is not ideal for the person trying to use it themselves. The book has a number of places where you need to answer some questions. They do not show up well in the Kindle version and of course there is no way to record your answer in the book.

It based on the latest research-based information. I already have gained a lot of insights and practical stratigies I'm putting to use. "How planning in California really works"

I read this book for a course on California planning taught by Bill Fulton, the author of this guide and a thought-provoking planner. This was not my first planning course but this book made me wish it had been.

In this guide, Fulton and Shigley go through the depth and breadth of how planning in California really works. The book is very well structured and accessible. Key ideas, acronyms, and illustrations are displayed in the margins to help the reader. The authors use a lot of examples and the guide also features short articles.

Fulton and Shigley have done a fantastic job in connecting the dots between various aspects of planning (history, geography, law, economics, design, etc.) The guide goes beyond context and techniques to present dynamics and what is really at stake. In particular, the authors discuss boldly the political nature of planning in California, including pressures and manipulations. Thus, the guide enables the reader to become technically more conversant and politically more aware.

As someone who is interested in planning in California and elsewhere, I find that this guide could be an excellent blueprint for presenting planning in other regions of the world. In any case, this guide provides a strong foundation on planning in California, and more importantly, shows how to think critically about planning issues.

More like a pamphlet than a book

I overlooked the page length of this book and was shocked to find that it is not even 1/4" thick. It is more like a pamphlet than a book, and I'm not feeling very happy about having paid $6.95 for it. I haven't read it yet, so will post about the content later.

A timeless meditation on all the ways Jesus loves us...

This is a theologically sound, often very poetic exploration of the process of giving one's life over to Christ. It ties in a lot of different aspects of spirituality, including devotion to the Sacred Heart, the Little Way, and holiness for married people and people in the world. It's often dense reading but each chapter isn't too tough to get through. It has held up well over the years (written in 1945) and is still very relevant. I also love Fr. Boylan's Difficulties In Mental Prayer. He was a great spiritual director and spiritual teacher.

I bought this book, among others, as a gift for my mother. She absolutely loves them all.
Highly recommended to any Catholic who hopes to develop a greater understanding of their faith by developing their interior life.
