entertaining, but not enough.

This is a very well-intentioned but mediocrely-written book. While it was entertaining, and not nearly as painful to finish as some other books I have read, it was still a huge disappointment. The story is decent, but is written in a choppy style, jumping around with little bullets that are very unnecessary - simple transitionary sentences would suffice, but instead it comes off as having television show style scene changes. This book is filled with so many cheesy, sappy lines and narrations that I rolled my eyes so many times I thought they would fall out of my head. Just not realistic or intelligent enough for my tastes. If you have a few hours to kill with nothing better to do, then pick up this book, but if you are looking for a good book with substance, steer clear of this one!

This book was good and I've read it several times

This book was neat. It was sort of different then most of Lori Wick's books yet,it was typical of her books in the way it was written. The plot was neat,a little unrealistic in today's times but, it was rather romantic. One way it was neat was the fact that Charlie had such a bad life and didn't know what real love and care were but, Sean ,(pronounced Shawn),came by and gave her a real reason to live. Along with God's forgiveness,Sean's love and his wonderful family life, Charlie finds out what true love is all about.

About the Author
Shaina Rudolph has been educating children in urban and suburban settings for 12 years. Working in different socioeconomic environments has allowed her the rare capability to develop close relationships with students from all walks of life. These relationships, in turn, have taught her the importance of reaching one's potential. She instills this belief daily in her students while she works as a reading specialist with children who have learning differences in the greater Los Angeles area. Danielle Royer has had a passion for teaching and working with children from a young age. Inspired by her two youngest brothers, both of whom have learning differences, she has always felt it extremely important that children feel comfortable and empowered in their own skin. Over her career, she has cultivated this message of empowerment to cater to her students' individual needs, no matter their stripes. She continues to spread her message and educate children in Santa Monica, CA, USA.

This is a disappointing example and I would NOT even read that part of the book to my child as it teaches children THE ABSOLUTE

This book tries to provide an important message about differences, and is full of helpful information as well. My concern is that one of the examples of how zebra is different has to do with a fire alarm and his sensory processing challenges. It explains that he was so scared when he heard the alarm that he hid under his desk and screamed WHILE THE CLASS LEFT HIM!!! He was scared until he was FOUND by the firefighters! This is a disappointing example and I would NOT even read that part of the book to my child as it teaches children THE ABSOLUTE WORST THING TO DO in an emergency! It also plants the idea that the child could be left behind by teachers and classmates!! I feel there would be much more effective examples to use that would not instill additional fears in a child, especially in an already anxiety-producing event such as a fire drill. A noisy lunchroom, music class, afternoon announcements over a loudspeaker, etc... would have helped to illustrate the same concept without the added drama of being left behind in an emergency.

Special little Zebra

It is very hard to find mugs or key chains with my Grandson's name, Zane, printed on them. When I saw the book "All My Stripes" and saw the cute little drawing on the cover, I thought about about "Zane the Zebra". Then, as I looked past the picture and saw the little zebra has autism, I truly cried. My grandson, Zane, was just diagnosed with autism. What a comforting little story for our entire family to read to help us on this new journey we share together. It is an enjoyable little story everyone will find helpful and encouraging. The additional information and facts are helpful. Thank you, Shaina and Danielle.

Ausome book!!

This book is awesome! It helped my daughter to be proud of who she is. She was showing everyone her "autism book" and calls her stuffed zebra her autistic zebra now. She never wanted to talk about herror autism before and the few times she did, she expressed that she thought it made her bad. After this book she seemed so proud of all she is including autistic. She has really curly hair and was labeling each of them with a different personality trait after reading it the first time. I would highly recommend this book! Her brothers love it as well and it had helped them to understand her.

Thrilling Best of the Series.

Best of the wonderful series so far ! Josh is an intelligent, strong, focused ex-military cop who is determined to protect Del and Ivy . The two women are witnesses to a murder. More murder and mayhem follows as they are stalked and threatened by the killer. The hot Durango team along with Josh, the FBI, and the Marshall's attempt to solve the case . Lots of excitement with the girls escaping on their own late at night into the forest. Josh and his sniper team racing to get to them before the killer finds them. The growing feelings between Del and Josh are filled with respect, tenderness and concern. The team is a great group of caring individuals who melded together in the fire of war. The way they all support each other is the backbone of this story. I could not find a physical description of Del in this book. That was very frustrating. I did not want to refer back to a previous book to try and find it. If this was the first book of the series anyone picks up they would have to guess. The guys all refer to her as beautiful. A good physical description helps you lock on to a character. However, this was a thrilling terrific story.

Great Author, Bad Editing

Excellent series, a little annoying that the men always start calling the women pet names--usually the same one until this book. She is great at developing characters, intrigue, and surprises. Excellent author...TERRIBLE editor. I found 5 really obvious errors, so bad that I started counting. I am not a nit picky person and I rarely see more than one obvious error in a book. One should have been caught by simply doing spell check. It isn't the author's fault, but whomever is editing these books is not doing their job. All in all, she is an amazing author and I absolutely recommend this series. The next book is the best, in my opinion.

Fast-paced, action-packed, dynamic characters! This well-written story is about greed, murder, and deplorable acts by men without conscience. It's also about family, justice, courage, loyalty and love. As the plot twists and turns we learn the depth of intelligence and strong ethics that are ingrained in Josh. We see the bravery and steel in Del as she protects her cousin, her family and friends, and takes care of her protectors. You will love this book about the last of the Cahill siblings.

This book is one of the best resources to teach high intermediate students. As a teacher, I like the second Edition much more than the third Edition and there is no difference with the 4th Edition so I will keep using this edition until it is whether all sold ou or out of printt. A great resource even if you are teaching a speaking class for those who need to get a little bit better when using structures.

Great read

This is the second trilogy for the Heretic series and a definite must read. Cade and his Templars are in the fight of their lives and for our lives, although we don't know it and they don't disappoint. In my opinion, this is the greatest series of Templar fantasy around. Joe Nasisse is one of the best writers for that genre'. Once you get involved in this series it is hard to put down and waiting for Joe to write the next book is hard but so worth the wait.

Second box set on the Templars series. I've read them all and they just keep getting better and better. Waiting for more after completing book 6 and the plot twist near the end. It's a really great buy for both box sets right now. Dive head long into a world of good verses really evil and what it takes to protect us from these darK forces

The stories and the writing are good, but these editions are absolutely riddled with typos, writing mistakes, and continuity errors. What ever happened to proof reading and editors?

Some good tricks, but this book is outdated (and expensive).

That this book is outdated should come as no surprise to anyone, really. The newspaper industry is dying and needs some new ideas; this book just shows how it's always been done. This book is a good primer for someone new to the industry so they can see an overview for how newspapers have worked in the past and teaches a few tricks about headlines and art placement, but he still talks about paper dummies, xacto knives and film. So not cutting edge, but maybe worth a peak if you're in the industry and can find it for less than the $90 or so investment it's asking for.

Seemed relatively useful.

It's kind of hard for me to rate a textbook. I got this as a cheap upgrade to the much older 4th edition. The newer version was definitely a step up. This book isn't the most recent edition though - so it's hard to say what has changed since then. I was a little annoyed that some pages/examples were carried over straight from the 4th edition.

The book did give me some nice ideas for designing a newspaper though. And so far as I can tell, it's one of the few remaining sources for such information.
