Heart-wrenching, but soooo good!

The first few pages of this book were most probably the most harrowing that I have read in a long time. I felt that I was in a boxing ring with Mike Tyson - being battered and bruised but I kept going - I had to!
The author didn't do nice, she went for the jugular and bled me dry (except for the tears - they flowed freely). To say that it's compulsive reading, is a true understatement!
This is Michael's and Worth's story - two broken men who meet through the most horrifying of circumstances, but find their way together. It's a long tortuous path but so worth the journey (no pun intended). Ms Logan ripped my heart out and then replaced it when Michael showed Worth true love. His tender care - a surprise to most who knew him - was just beautiful to read.
We are also treated to cameo mentions of some of her characters from previous books - Phoenix, Wade (love him), Trask and Carlos to name a few and of course Gabriel (Michael's twin brother). We hear their story and wow, it's hot!
As you have most probably gathered, this book is not for the faint-hearted, but it's compulsive reading and I urge you to try it. Another beauty about this book is that it can be read as a standalone, but after reading, you are going to want to read about all the members of this family (and it it a family, though not through blood - people bought together and held together by love), so don't say I didn't warn you!
I love this author, I'm sure if she wrote a book on train spotting or some other mundane subject, I would read it!

Worth and Michael bring this series to a close.

I have loved all of Patricia's books, both those in series like this one and the independent ones. This book, while called Worth is really the story of Worth and Michael, Master M who is thought of as a sadist since he specializes in "percussion" acts, ie. whips, floggers, cane and other harsh instruments. He uses them, however, only at the request of the sub that asks for them and is very careful to make sure the sub is not hurting beyond what he desires. In the previous book in this series, Worth is a battered and beaten slave brought into the club by a cruel sadist who "owns" him and Michael is so upset by what he sees that he buys him from his "owner" and makes him his sub not to harm him any more, but to help him recover mentally and physically. In fact, Michael had experienced much of what Worth had and was uniquely in a position to help him. In this book, Patricia has finally used the setting of the BDSM club to let us experience several scenes which are sexually hot and stimulating. However, in her description of Worth's and Michael's prior maltreatment, the details are explicit enough to be avoided by the faint of heart. I recommend that if you fit in that category, you skim those sections of the book but do NOT fail to read the rest of it since it is truly a fabulous and memorable read. While this is the last book in this incredibly good series, Patricia assures us that many of the characters we have come to love in this series will appear in subsequent stories. My hope is that Patricia will change her mind and renew the series itself which is too good to be brought to an end. In the meanwhile, you need to do yourselves a favor and buy this book and read it or you will be depriving yourselves of a seriously wonderful experience.

Great story!

A perfect ending to an amazing series. Worth and Michael, both having to overcome terrible abuse, physical, mental and emotional. Michael saves Worth from the man who was torturing him and through time, helped Worth heal from all his wounds, inside and out. In this, both men realize they love each other and have found a family with Phoenix and Wade and all the men of Invitation Only. Brilliant series, I will miss all the boys whom I have come to love!
